This snow is heavy. I hope the young people out there are walking their neighborhoods with a shovel, or driving around and knocking on doors where the snow has not been disturbed. Older people cannot get out when there is ice and snow, even when the roads are cleared. If they can't get out of their own house it can be frightening and disabling to your older community members. If this heavy wet snow stays there and it stays cold, it will be all ice; Then EMT, oil deliveries and postal services are difficult delivery for the duration of the cold. If anyone can pay something forward, a perfect OPPORTUNITY presents its self.
Get out there and do your community a service, if you can. Go in two's or threes! It will take ten to fifteen minutes to clear a whole walk path for elderly couples to get to their cars, or mail boxes.
Please, If the occupants can give, I'm sure they will offer you gas or coffee tips. Just shovel the sidewalk out front free, and the universe will bless you! Those who hit the sidewalks: please, post about your adventure! MoXiE is very interested in the adventures out there in the snow!
